Weekly Reflection WW09 - 4E2

Some students have weak foundations and are facing difficulties catching up. I am helping them by making them starting revisions practises on their own. They are to complete topic 1 and 2 over the weekend and show me what they had done on Tuesday.

It is a tough call. I am very concerned about not been able to finish for the examinations and yet often some students showed signs of needing me to slow down. I think it is a balanced which I hope to manage well. The students themselves understood and were supportive.

  1. If there is a need to slow down as many pupils cannot understand well enough so be it. What is most important is that all pupils learn. For the better pupils, you may stretch them further by giving them more questions to attempt so that you can work with the weaker ones.

Though we need to finish syllabus before mid year exam, if there is a need to make adjustments to cater to the needs of the pupils, we can still do it. You can always discuss with the other teachers about adjusting the tested topics.

  2. Hwee Hwee,
I agree that we need to slow down ao that many pupils can understand. That is what I have been doing. We are in constant updating among teachers of what is been taught
